Checking in from NJ. Picked up a 2012 Tahoe LT a few years back to replace my 2001 Silverado 1500 (RIP Truck). In my haste to get a vehicle I made some compromises biggest being the HD towing package. My Silverado had 4.10 gears and could pull down a house, the Tahoe has 3.08 gears and cant get out of its own way. So needless to say a gear swap is in the near future. My old man has a 2012 Suburban LTZ with 3.42 gears which I think are OK but still leave me wanting more specially when pulling a trailer. I was thinking about going with 4.10's like the Silverado but with first gear in the 6L80 being 4.03 I didn't want to get too aggressive. So I am thinking 3.73 gears are the way to go, do you guys think they will be over kill?
