Not sure why the newer models do not have magnetic drain plugs, my 2005 Yukon Denali 6.0l had one.
So if you are considering getting a magnetic oil drain plug, the thread size is metric 12 x 1.75.
Cheaper and easier to find option is the Dorman 090-936CD. This is very similar to the OEM drain plug with a captive rubber washer that my 2005 6.0l engine has.
