Well it happened...
Bought our Denali used with 75k miles on it.
At 78k sounds like a passenger side AFM lifter "left the chat".....

It's back at the dealer. I'm sure they will do what's right (sarcasm inserted) and change out all the lifter on that side.

Honestly, I can't wait till warranty is out, so I can just convert the entire engine to non AFM.

I waited like you want to and was left holding the bag. I have replaced both engine and trans on my 2015 in the past 11mo.

I renewed my warranty in the form of a GM dealer diag tool. The MDI 2 gizmo. I'll post a link below. If you search for it, they'll all be counterfeit.

Well it's done and back on the road.
The dealer called the following Monday after drop off on that previous Thursday.

They asked me for permission to transfer the Yukon to a GM service center, as they (not a GM dealership) weren't equipped to do the work.

The invoice stated $7,000 in repairs to the motor. Replaced the camshaft and all 16 valve lifters, as well as corresponding parts for the job. Covered under warranty 100%

75K must be on an extended warranty?

I paid less than that for a stage 1 cam and dyno tune.

Complete drivetrain warranty I purchased through my CU.
Once it's done, I will be doing the same thing.

So your selling diagnostic tools ? Not really sure what this is about.

I'll rephrase what I said... My warranty ran out and I bought the GM factory diagnostic tool so I don't have to go back to a shop or dealer.

I posted a link to the actual tool and the site to find the tech-line subscriptions.
