Liftgate height - how tall should it be

Read post #5 @k_arnold72 there is switch on roof console that give you different opening settings.
I understand that and my knob is on the fully open setting. I did mention that i cannot push it up any higher from where it sits, which as i understand it, means the liftgate is as high as it can go.

It really means that your lift gate is opening as wide as the struts will allow. Take off one end of both struts (VERY easy to do) and see if the lift gate will travel any higher.

Are there any id numbers on the struts? If so, can you compare those to what the parts books call for?

I replaced my OEM struts with some aftermarket. They open about 2” less than OEM. Jist food for thought if you had them replaced.
