Long story short a light pole fell on my mom's yukon. She works at a school and the bus driver apparently had to go to the back of the bus to do a check to make sure nobody was still on it and had failed to put the bus fully into park and it rolled back and into a light pole.

Going in for estimates tomorrow obviously has a fair amount of cosmetic damage but I am worried about the structure underneath. It landed pretty much on the radiator support. Think there is any reason for me to worry about that? Both front fenders do not line up nicely anymore as well as the headlights being misaligned has me concerned that its more than a bumper/hood deal.

Top of core support where hood hinge is probably got bent down. That will throw everything off. Most likely replace support (may just be the upper tie bar section), hood, latch, maybe a bracket or two. Should be a quick and easy fix.

Ya I am sure its bent down some. Is there a good way to tell if that core support is bent? Otherwise I guess It will be apparent once new parts are installed if they don't replace the core support.

Can you pop the hood? You'd easily see if its bent down. What insurance company do you have?

Hood opens I'd say the hinge is bent more than anything. The bus company is taking fault and they have allied

Sorry to hear about your ride. That sucks, but atleast the bus Co is paying for it.

Dang thats crazy. I had a crab pot fall on my wifes hood yesterwinter. Basically same damage but with a few hundred pounds more than that light pole.
