I've been thinking about adding some lights behind the stock grill on either the Denali, Tahoe or potentially both. I mainly want to on the Denali since my wife will be driving a lot in the dark on country roads out to her parents cabin this fall/winter. She's already not crazy about driving at night, so I figure the more light I can give her, the better.

Have any of you guys done driving / fog lights behind the stock grill? How was the performance out of them? I feel like the Tahoe grill should work ok for that, but the stock Denali grill may not have enough openings.

Thanks!
Chris

Consider mounting a light bar behind the grille. The light output is tremendous and the look when 'OFF' is actually very clean, much nicer than fog lights.

Of course, this is typically legal for use only off-road or on rural roads.

I second the light bar idea, slim design and more light output. But in winter while snowing that would just cause more glare than anything. So I insist on upgrading the Denali lights with a retrofit and 5500k hids.
Maybe some 3000k hids for the fogs lights.

I travel alot and all over, I bought LED headlights and fog light bulbs from only JDM Astar. there are cheaper brands, but I have never had any problems with them, they light up the road Alot better, I didnt want to spend anther $100 for led high beams but since I have a grill guard I mounted a 32 in light bar on it for when I do need more lights. before I had my grill guard I had 2 led cubes mounted behind grill that gave me some really good light.
