Little help with a new purchase

Hey Guys! Great site, have spent a lot of time going through old posts.

I was curious to get your thoughts on a couple tahoes that i was looking at in my area (cedar rapids, ia)

It will be a second vehicle used for camping trips and such. I work from home, so not really a DD. Anyway, looking at both 2 and 4 door.

I was curious to get your thoughts on some of these, and what you would offer to them.

2dr - has 203,000 miles, he assumes the engine was replaced due to milage but hasn't owned long.

If the 2dr is in the same shape as the others I would probably go with it since its cheaper and apparently has new trans and possible new engine as you say. Other than that, between the 4DRs I would just check them all out and see what's the lowest they will all go for. See if any have any kind of issues an go from there. If I had to choose one of the 4DRs it would probably be the black 98 Yukon. Mechanical condition in my opinion is how you should decide between all of em though

There all pretty clean and look good but I'd go with the 2dr Tahoe

The First truck 2dr Is Nice but I Don't get why he thinks the engine has been replaced its not uncommon that these trucks pass 250k miles with Original Motors

the First 4dr is VERY clean And I like the Color If the Interior matches how good the Ext looks I would offer him 4300 Firm


the First Dealer Option the Black Yukon Is AWESOME , those Front seats are HARDLY worn . Beautiful Truck . Worth the Money IMHO

The second dealer truck I think is priced a little High

Lol ya I've got 250k on my 95 Tahoe, only major thing done was the rear end it blew up a year or so ago runs and drives mint and keep up on maintenance

Yeah its not uncommon to get more than 250k out of them easily. Family friend has a vortec 350 with close to 500k and it still runs great.

cant see the interior but i would choose this one. http://cedarrapids.craigslist.org/cto/3571811015.html seems to be in premium condition and compared to the others it is not sagging in the back yet.
