When they don't salt the roads, they don't rust to pieces. I have 140k on my Denali, and there is no rust anywhere on it. Show me an east coast rig with this mileage and you will see tons of rust and rotten frames.

That's very true. I have seen 2012 rigs starting to rust from the salt on the roads. Worst I seen was a 04 dodge 2500 every single panel had a hole from rust. That was spotted in upstate NY. I now have 178k and only rust I have on mine is behind the mud flap on passenger side. Cant see it unless you really look for it.

True, true. Picked up my 2007 XL Denali last summer. Noticed a bit of rust underneath and CarFax said it lived up upstate NY for a while.

Spent a fair bit of time with POR-15 and now Fluid Film often. We've had way above normal snow here in VA and just had ski trip up to VT, so messy underneath.

When this winter is over, pressure washer and several cans of Fluid Film.

I don't fully agree. Mine has 200+k on it, lived it's life in OH, and other than the bumpers being a little rough the under body, and frame are relatively clean with only having surface rust. What makes the biggest difference is washing the damn thing often in the winter, and spraying it down really good in the spring to get that crap off of it...

I have 179,500 and will roll 180 this weekend. I live in South Carolina and bought my truck from an auction in Dallas Tx. The only rust I have is a little bit of speckled surface rust on the frame. That this summer will be neutralized and entire frame painted this summer.

I go to the slopes A few times a year and we get snowed 1-4x a year. I power wash the under side every time it sees the road treatments.

I feel that how a vehicle is maintained makes the difference
