I loved the Super Bowl Commercial yestersday for the Chevy Trucks. My family has always had either a Tahoe or a Suburban in the driveway for 30 something years. I am currently driving a 2000 tahoe LT with 200,000 miles that I bought from my dad's company for $800. He sold it to the company with 100,000 miles on it and originally bought it for the family with 16,000 miles on it. We use it use it as the family vehicle for getting around town. As miles add up, we are always contemplating maintenance versus replace and I am interested in how other Tahoes/Yukons are holding up. Who is driving a high mileage vehicle? What year and how many miles? What have been the biggest repairs or replacements you made?

Can anyone beat 300,000 miles?

This is probably the longest lasting truck I have heard of. We had an 85 Suburban with 252,000 that was laid to rest becuause the driver didn't not notice the smell of a gas leak for a week before it caught on fire. We also had a 94 suburban with 160,000 miles that was traded for the first Tahoe. The common thread I am reading is the engine is still the original plant on all these gray haired gladiators. Nice work and a good testament to the maintenance discipline of the owners.
