Looking at 2018 Denali. What’s up with this CAT?

I’m looking at getting a 2018 Denali xl. Dealer took pics from me since it is a good ways off and the Cat looks weird. Anyone have any idea what is going on with this thing?

There is moisture that seeps out by the ball clamp. I've pulled mine apart. Cleaned it up and coated it with anti-sieze. The clamp seemed to seat better in that scenario. The dry fit doesn't seem to go well on these sometimes.

It does to me. Perhaps, an attempted robbery of the cats?

What I see is a slight exhaust leak that has been present for a long time. The darker spots are the exhaust soot escaping the pipe at the connection. The white(ish) spots are where the condensation has leaked from the connection. The rest of it is a mixture of the soot and condensation mixed with road grime/salt/etc.

Nothing to be alarmed by here. Simply replace that clamp and you'll be good to go.

That is the 3rd unmetered catalyst. Leaky clamp to my eye.
