The bi xenon flipper gets stuck on low beam but to prevent this issue you just bend the L shaped ears away from the flipper. It has a rod that goes through the flipper with a spring attached to the solenoid then the rod is held in place at the L ears. Bend the L ears outward away from any contact with the flipper.
The holes that need to be covered in aluminum tape are the L tabs that hold the solenoid. They will show up as bright spots in the air like random high beam spots. Let me know when you get the lights in your hand and can explain the setup a little better.
Ok great pics!! See the outer most tabs that holds the actual shield in place with the rod through it. Those are the tabs you need to ensure are pulled out like such \__/ so that they never touch the bi-xenon flipper tabs. Just a slight rub and it will stick. Did this on two sets of mine.
Now onto the holes to cover up, where those outer tabs are bent from the main plate is where you need to place some aluminum tape. I taped the side closer to the lens. I believe there are no other holes where light could come through but check around the solenoid for the bi-xenon. When the cut-off shield is up light will travel through the opening flipping over and output on the bottom (road side) so any areas light can travel through the lower shield will be bright spots up in the air like high beams.
