Since I'm into audio also, I must strongly recommend against buying a prefab ported box.

Buy an Image Dynamics 12" IDMAX, put it on about 500-750 watts (RMS, not peak), and build about a 2.3 ft^3 tuned to 32Hz.

It'll hit low and sound much cleaner than any Alpine or Kicker setup from some big box store like Best Buy or Car Toys (does that place still exist?).
