For the Intake go with the AirRaid Jr kit. and Pacesetters are good, just have them coated or buy the ones with the armorcoat

I was reading up on the comparison done by bb, and I think airaid is the way to go. But I may want the air box too...

I just started looking into this as well and ordered my Airaid Jr Intake tube... I already had a K&N drop in filter so didn't bother with the kit. I got I on Amazon for 136 with free shipping. I still have my stock airbox in original condition. (no swiss cheese) I should have it installed by tomorrow night.

Airaid Jr. Update. Put it in tonight. Took all of 5 minutes. A little more responsive, a little more throaty when I got on the gas a little heavy but still kind of quiet. Should I swiss cheese the box? One thing I did notice is that there was a hose clamp type thing holding the radiator hose to the intake tube. Now that that's eliminated the hose and the intake tube are touching. Is that bad? After thinking about it for a second I put the hose clamp back around the radiator hose and wedged it between the hose and the intake... This way there is a some slight separation.
I had no idea how big the stock intake was in comparison. I never noticed that bottom resonator. Btw, mine is on a 04 Denali.

This is my older thread, but wanted to update. I picked up a nice clean used airaid cai. The whole kit. Shipped to my door, $175. And had my muffler cut off and straight pipe welded in. Sounds AWESOME, does feel slightly peppier. I know the straight pipe is only sound, but I do think the cai gave it a miniscule kick in the ass. The wife loves it. That's for your help guys.
