for those that have done this....how dimmable are they really? I swapped my '00 Camaro over to all LED, and that was allegedly "dimmable" with the stock circuit/switch.

At the end, I could barely impact their brightness - maybe by 5% maximum. Yes, they dimmed very slightly, but hardly even noticeable. They are ridiculously bright (but do look great!). I am now working on a custom dimmer panel for that vehicle to use a PWM to modulate their intensity.

I am just curious on how that compares to experience in the '03-'06 800's. It would really freshen up the DD to swap it all over, but at the same time, I don't want to spend a ton of time on the DD...if they don't dim well, I'll just solder in new incandescents to replace my burned out bulbs.

Please don't take this as criticism....the LED swaps look great. I've realized over the years, I am very sensitive to the IP intensity at night. I like it dim - most folks don't.

They dim just like regular lights. 100% dim not just 5%. I know cause I had my 05 Silverado changed over.

Keep in mind that the door switches do NOT dim. They are just "ON" when the headlights are on. The dimmer switch only dims the dash lights, not the doors.
And from my experience, my LEDs do dim just fine with with the dimmer switch but I do have to turn the dimmer wheel at least a quarter turn before they start to dim. With the factory bulbs, they start to dim as soon as you start turning the dimmer switch wheel.

What?! I swore mine dimmed. Sorry atrus it's been awhile since I had mine done lol. Thanks for the reply Scott.
Either way our switches aren't blinding when upgraded either , at least not to me.
