.........."
The TREAD (Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation) Act was signed into United States Federal Law in the fall of 2000 and requires all vehicles manufactured on or after September 1, 2007 to be equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system. "...........

I wonder if mine were to be manufactured before Sept, 1st would I be exempt? Time to check!

this would be sweeet...

..... "This act affects all light motor vehicles sold after September 1, 2007. Phase-in started in October 2005 at 20%, and reached 100% for models produced after September 2007."..

Is "sold" the key word here though? How do I know when my tahoe was "sold"? How does anyone know matter of fact?

If it was made in August and sold a year later would I be exempt?

Pretty sure mine is a SSV model. They had to take off flashers when I was inside filling out paperwork to purchase it. I did a Carfax on it and its blank..

If I were to post the VIN could someone here decipher it?

the warranty information will tell you

the "start date " is the sold date
