I would like to know what the explanation/technical reason for those white clips being attached to that bar and even having the ability to slide side to side in the first place is.

PS - GLAD to have that gone. That was really annoying.

Hopefully you take that thing to the dealer once the fix is released from GM. I'm with the other guys, **** having to Jerry rig a brand new 70K+ vehicle

Great to know it worked!

I bet that GM uses a similar arrangement for their final fix to this TSB. Car should have came with a handful of hose clamps. I'm already 4 in for 2 fixes.

Taking the XL in for service on Monday to fix the seat issue. Service advisor seemed to think they could fix it and said I wasn't the first to call. Will report back next week.

You'd probably frown upon my transfer case control module wrapped in acoustic foam to keep me from hearing the world's most annoying noise (similar to dumb and dumber) that it has been making since I drove it off the lot with 4 miles on it. Hey in my book, 2 highly annoying problems fixed. Lol

My local dealers would tear more things up trying to fix this stuff than its worth. Plus it would take a dozen trips to get them to diagnose the correct thing. I have about a 50/50 rate of at minimum a door ding or a scratch every time I visit a dealer.

This.

I HATE dealers.

You go in with a problem. They fix it and scratch and nick things in the process.

One time..... go in to have a rear HVAC dial bezel replaced.

Sumbitxhes used RTV. Yes. RTV to glue it back together.

Had black stains on my headliner.

FU some of you GM Dealers.

LOL. RTV... haha. Nothing like using something as a glue that takes 24 hours to set up. At least they could have treated you to clear silicone. Hey, at least it wasn't orange tho! I think orange doesn't make it out from under the shade tree too often.

IF there are some good ones out there, I haven't found them.

For example, that seat. They'd have to start with removing the entire seat. There goes all of your trim/clips around the seat, odds are they would hit and scratch/gouge only the door panel if you are lucky, if not some of the painted area in the door opening. Not to mention some grease your interior all up.

Also, you would receive the mandatory Cannot Duplicate Customer Concern the first 3 or 4 times you went. Then, finally, you MIGHT talk them into doing something.

Just a nuisance.

Oh yeah ^^^^

Also grease marks on places.

And don't get me started on the "detail" staff at some dealers.

Idiots seem to use undiluted APC or something and then slather greasy runny tire shine on like everything.

Oh....... and worse than dealers...... are they dealer body shops.

Last I went the bastards left a clear thin film on my dash and plastic gauge cluster.

From leaving the windows open while working on it..... and over spray?
