Hello, I've got a 95 Tahoe and was checking out the engine compartment over the weekend and I think my throttle/accelerator cable is loose, there seems to be some play in it not alot, I don't know how tight it should be it looks like theres a knob you can turn at the end to tighten it but it didn't really do anything, thanks for the help

The throttle cable is a stranded steel cable, they do stretch, especially under heavy right foot usage. Hahahaha

Tighten until there is 0 slack and take it for a spin, should feel a bit different. :D

It's the same kind of cable as a gear or brake on a pedal bike. Tiny lil strands of steel all wound up.
