Intake gaskets? Can I check that the old fashioned way? (with a can of WD40)

The last time I was a "real" mechanic, most cars had carbs, back then I checked for intake leaks by spraying a can of wd around until the engine speed changed.

I used carb cleaner, same thing though. But yeah just spray it in the small gap right between the heads and intake, and around the upper plenum/lower intake joint. Also, around the throttle body, most people don't know about the rubber o-ring on the part of the intake tube that attaches to it.

Oh, I'd also try the joint on the 'vortec' box on the intake. When my rubber coupler went my engine wouldn't even run for more than a few seconds.

Seriously it was a small propane tank with a long hose on it that was the standard.

I borrowed a scanner today.
It has several other options, but Im learning how to play with it.
What should a normal 02 sensor look like?

Propane tank? I can rig that up.... Less mess than WD.
(I worked in a very backwoods shop out in West Marin, mostly VW's and Volvos, and the mechanics own collections of american muscle cars)

from your graphs it leans out when the throttle plate is open so look for a leak between that and the maf sensor. Make sure maf is clean. And what did the intake air temp and coolant temp register at the time from the computer.

Trying to remember my OBS. That crankcase breather tube isn't off is it? The one from the intake pipe to the valve cover.

The breather tube is on.
Could not find any cracks or leaks between throttle body and maf.
MAF looks clean, gave it a bit of compressed air and a light touch of cleaner.
Temp via OBV is 188 to 192, dash gauge is 160
Have not checked incoming air temp yet. (tonights run)
MPG for drive to work was 14. (20 miles of 2 lane roads country roads)
Coud not find any intake leaks with chemtool as my indicator gas.
Could not find any cracked hoses
Brake booster holding vacuum (I can hear it when I unplug the intake vac many minutes after shutdown)
Vortec gasket looks OK but I did not chemtool that... Ill have to try that tonight too.

Is there any chance it could still be an intermittent fuel pump?

That is what happened with mine when it went out.....it would run fine, then stutter stumble and barely run.
Fuel pressure gauge is a must for this one.
