Still would like to see the fuel pressure tests results and the cat back pressure tests.

Got it. I'll try to do this next week. And see where I am. I just got the Washington about 2 months ago. And I hate it here.

Still trying to find a good exhaust shop to do my bullets and do the back pressure test now.

Can I check the fuel pressure with my data logger? And if I can where is it supposed to be?

If fuel pump itself is good the KOEO pressure should be in the neighborhood of 50-60 psi. Others may say a little less but I am telling you what I like to see. When start I like to see at least 45-50 psi and prefer to hover right at 50 psi. Can you check on your data logger? I don't know. I have a Tech 2 and just became familiar with that since being back at this forum.

The fuel pressure specs for KOEO (key on, engine OFF) vary depending on gas-only or Flex Fuel capable, so keep that in mind. The fuel pumps are different.

Do the fuel pressure test first if you can. Easy peasy. You can rent a gauge from a local auto parts store; most have rentals for only the deposit, which is refunded when you take the tool back.

Plus, if you can get a long enough hose for the manual gauge and bring it out at the back of the hood and tape to the windshield you can watch the pressure while going up a hill when you say you experience the problems. If you can monitor with a Tech 2 or something equivalent, even better.

Ok, I have ALLDATAdiy.com so I did look up the specs there for my 2002 Tahoe flex fuel. Engine code Z is 48-54 psi but if you have engine code V, T or U it says the pressure should be 55-62 psi.

Really? The last 4-5 times I bought plugs for my last 2-3 vehicles they were gapped at the correct spec when I got them. I do always check them for correct spec and not assume that they could not have been damaged/bumped during manufacture and shipping and stocking but I guess I have been lucky.

Back in the day I had to gap plugs all the time but I also set point gap as well and adjusted timing and adjusted carb.

Weird. Probably 8 out of 10 I need to tweak it. And there's the occasional time where one was dropped and the gap is between cunthair and short circuit lmao.

I get a lot from RA and we know how well they take care of everything when they ship. I have been lucky. I do check and never assume.

Are your plug wires making GOOD contact... I mean real good contact. The symptoms your describng could also be from plug wires not making full contact in the coils.

Getting a check engine light? How about a blinking one when going uphill? Check plug wires to make sure they are fully snapped on, on both ends. Coil and at the plug.
