lost 3rd and 4th gear

So i noticed the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts became super sluggish over the weekend. Then on my way home 2night it wouldn't go past 2nd gear which is awesome gas mileage... So i'm looking for an upgrade. (it has 86k miles on it)

Right now i can get a used 4l60 trans for around $700 with 75k miles on it.
I'd prefer the 4l80 b/c i do plan on either a cam and/or supercharger in the future. Is the 4l80 worth the money? What else needs to be replaced when doing that swap? Anything else i should throw in the tranny before i install it?

Transmission cooler. I have the stock one on there and installed a B&M trans cooler on there as well. My hoe has 170k and the trans is still going strong (knocking on wood).

Not sure on the transmissions but for a tranny cooler, get the biggest one that you can install, cheap insurance!!

happen to mine last weekend had it repaired under warranty of the transmission rebuild in june of 2009.
