I have to agree here , You do have to look at the BIGGER picture If you really think about it , a dealership essentially is not GM they are a middle man that GM approves of them representing GM , However some issue don't go unnoticed , I will have to dig up some info but I remember GM actually closing its doors to a dealership chain because of some "issues with customer service " on the dealerships end .

So, first of all, sorry about your situation. That kind of stinks and it certainly seems like it is a dealership problem. Some are good, some are not. It's unfortunate but true. Now for my partial hijack:

Here's a stupid question regarding this. I actually just purchased a 2007 and it's GMC Certified. My dash has a crack in it as well as a prior repair to it that's quite significant actually, although pretty well done. Can I ask for the entire thing to be replaced since I have a warranty? What are you talking about in your quote actually? Is this a common problem/TSB or something that they are aware of?

Thanks

GM is definitely aware of the cracking of their dashboard. Some dealers will change them out for free others will charge a small deductible and others will just say F off. Like they have done to me. :(

You have the bumper - to - bumper warranty for the first 12 mo / 12k miles. They should take care of it under that. (Unless I'm missing something). My 09 is certified too, and I'm waiting for the crack to begin.
