No help will be coming as this was Louis's email to me.

Mr.D. ,

Thank you for providing your case number. I’m sorry that you are not satisfied with the resolution of your case; however, I will have to agree with the resolution.

I apologize, but we will be unable to offer further assistance with this case.

GM Customer Service

---------- Post added at 03:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:26 PM ----------

As stated previously last gm I'll ever own. Not very good math in their Final decision. Bummer but they are not the only cars around.

OK I guess pictures of the problem that still exists or a separate gm dealer body shop evaluation* is not necessary for gm to make an educated decision.* The body shop may have taken it apart but did not paint it properly. Lies about how it was completed is what gm is basing this decision upon.*Lies from a dealership that dropped the ball from the start. It is a shame that gm wants to burn bridge with a loyal customer.

Thanks for looking into it. Wish both sides of the story were accounted for.

See GM warranty work.
Original complaint 30095 miles. Unfixed.
Second complaint 33678 miles. Unfixed.
Fixed poorly after warranty expired.

As of last night I got an email from the GM rep Louis that stated upon review if the pics the case would be Reopened and that a customer service Rep ( district specialist ) would be in touch. Today I received a vm that Gm got the pics and would like my side if the story but that it would not result in the change if the resolution. Wow, what good would telling my side be if there is not going to be a better fix than the horrible job they provided me with in the first place. BBB has been contacted. Stay away from Pointe GMC.

I would post reviews on every social media site and copy the GM rep as well as the owner of Pointe GMC.

I would also tell your side of the story to the GM rep because you never know what he or she can or can't do.

Good luck.

Dealer is definitely an issue but if you call GM customer service for help then that is the company's responsibility at that point. They should be doing everything they can to resolve this since they stand to lose a long term customer and my entire immediate family.

So Gm customer service was useless as I stated they reopened the case upon seeing the pics just to say they won't do anymore for me. What a waste of my time.

So, first of all, sorry about your situation. That kind of stinks and it certainly seems like it is a dealership problem. Some are good, some are not. It's unfortunate but true. Now for my partial hijack:

I think a lot depends on the dealership. Many people have cracked dashboards and have had them replaced for free after the warranty expired (me being one of them), while some have to pay a deductible (at minimum).

Here's a stupid question regarding this. I actually just purchased a 2007 and it's GMC Certified. My dash has a crack in it as well as a prior repair to it that's quite significant actually, although pretty well done. Can I ask for the entire thing to be replaced since I have a warranty? What are you talking about in your quote actually? Is this a common problem/TSB or something that they are aware of?

Thanks
