Very interesting. Sometime recently they apparently changed the configuration of their kits. I double checked mine just to make sure I wasn't going crazy, and mine doesn't have the AMP igniters. I've only had my kit for barely 2 months, so these changes must be very recent.

I just got the kit from the Xenon Depot with the Philips 4300k bulbs. I will try to get the install done Sunday.

After having mine installed for a couple days one of the relays was making noise during daylight with only the DRLs on...called and they said i need a capacitor...which they didnt tell me about before...got it and installed it and they work great now!

Installed the xenon depot kit with Philips 4300k bulbs. It was my first time installing an HID kit and what a pain in the ass it was, but well worth it. The kit had capacitors and relays. So far so good, everything is working without any issues. The light output is night and day compared to all of the other bulbs I tried. The first night driving with them, they saved me from hitting a deer. With the LED bulbs I had before I wouldn't have seen the deer until it went thru my windshield.

to the guys with hid kits, how are you cutting and sealing the back headlight cover to prevent moisture entering the housing?

This kit came with a rubber gasket around the wires that go thru the cap. It looks like it seals it pretty good. Its hard to get any good photos of the light output but here are some. Not one issue since I installed them a month ago. The color has changed from a straight pure white to a slight hint of blue now. That was what I was told when I ordered them. The color looks better now than when I installed the kit.

Thanks JBmore. I've just ordered the same kit for my Yukon in hopes of similar results.

Like the OP, I'd love to find an alternative to unreliable HID kits. I wish the leds would work as well as HIDs, but that's a dead end. Upgraded halogen bulbs aren't worth the time or money either. I've had the TRS morimoto kit on my 2015 Silverado 2500hd for less than a year and have gone through 2 bad ballasts already, not having low beams for at least a month at a time each time due to hassle and time constraints. Im actually waiting for a replacement ballast now. I won't be going back to TRS again! Now I need something to replace the horrible stock low beams on the wife's 2015 Tahoe. Xenon depot seems to get good reviews, I'll probably try them next and cross my fingers. Pisses me off GM won't put HIDs or LED DRL's in a 60k suv or truck.

My apologies gentlemen, off my soap box now.
