The last change I did I cut filter open and it looked good and not clogged so I'm not sure. I talked to a reputable mechanic in my area and he said it was highly unlikely to be an oil pump but could be a clogged channel just above where the filter attaches. He said to bring it to him when it happens again so that's what I'm going to do. The first two times it happened to me it happened right at 3000 miles. The last time it happened at 1000 miles. I'm creeping up on 1000 miles now and no signs of the issue yet but I'm sure it will happen. I'm surprised with that low of miles that it's happening to you. Mine has 140k on it. I'm not sure if it matters (but I'll find out) but I always use K&N oil filters. The times this issue has occurred to me it's been when I've used other brand oil filters

I wish I had time to do it myself tomorrow, but have to leave out early. At this point, I just want it changed. I think I'll change it again soon and do it myself using K&N filter and maybe try switching to synthetic. Please keep us posted on your findings. Those videos you posted(especially the first one) are not to promising. I may look into the oil pump relief valve issue a little further. It's funny, we had a 2009 Jeep Cherokee with 120,000 miles. Never an issue that I couldn't fix cheap. Got rid of it because of the miles and wanted something with fewer miles. Go figure

Yeah I'll definitely post the resolution once it's found and probably make it a sticky since I'm sure it'll be needed again in the future. Completely understand having to have someone else do it because of time. The oil change that only lasted 1000 miles was done by a quick change place because I was working and the wife was basically stranded with it in the middle of the day. So I did what I had to do. This last time I changed the oil in 15* weather and snowing because I was determined to make headway on this resolution. That was less than fun lol

Had the oil changed today and what do you know, pressure stays between 40-50 psi. I them give my wife the old filter which is a AC Delco pf48 filter. Mechanic said that the seal was bad and filter had some oil leakage around it. Although I don't think that had anything to do with the low pressure. I'm going to cut open the filter and see If anything is out of the ordinary.

The filter most likely had "leakage" around because it wasn't quite tightened down good enough at the last oil change. The oil filter on these are really hard to get tight due to the filter location in relation to the pan.

My Oil change is now 2 weeks ago, but I do not use the Tahoe very often - however, mine has 152k miles on it. The Filter I replaced was a very cheap one, which brand I even was not able to google... Also I switched to full synthetic oil.
So far, the problem is gone. I have done some longer drives without any issue, but I have to keep an eye on it, because previously the problem only occurred when the engine was fully warmed up and was continuously running (without the auto stop mode in city driving), so it mostly occurred while highway driving.
Also, it has definitely to do with the filter and the oil, since the problem is gone after an oil change. Maybe the cheap filters get "cleaned" when the oil is flowing back in the engine during startup or shutdown. That would explain why the pressure is back for a short while after restart. My new filter has a flow back valve, which prevents the dirt oil from flowing back into the engine.

I will keep you posted with more results after driving a longer distance.

A little update. I finally remembered to cut open the filter this afternoon. Im no expert on this, but it appears that the filter is clogged and looks dirty. I've never cut one open, so I could be wrong. Any opinions on this picture.
