I just paid 175.00 labor to have both upper and lower done... I thought about doing it myself but I enjoy my weekends.... And didn't want to be stuck working on it the entire weekend...

Ball joint press and a little time is all you need. Well, that and the basic hand tools to remove everything.
I just ordered my ball joints today, this will be my project for next weekend. Shouldnt be too bad. Though mine is 2wd, may be a little easier.
Thats just one of the many things I'll be doing hah.

ball joints are not that bad it was the first thing i did in my truck... go down to your parts store and rent the ball joint installer... Top ones are the easy ones. if they are oem you are going to have to drill the rivets out. do your self a favor and have a good set or it will take you for ever.. once every thing is disconnected from the bottom you can knock them out with a hammer.. then install, you will need to press the bottoms in, where the tool is handy.. top just gets bolted in, most come with the hardware.. job should take around 2-4hrs from start to finish..

this is the kit i got and havent had any problems EBAY suspension

Finished the front end on Monday, wasn't a bad job just never replaced on 4x4. Disassembled everything & it went fine, drives like a new truck after alignment.
