You put the torch on the top the spindle for a minute ish the. A firm hit with a 3# hammer and they separate 90% the time for me like this.

Each truck is froze up different.

Ok guy i think im just gonna take the spindle off to get to upper and lower at the same time because i wanna change the hub bearings also

It's just a couple extra bolts. Removing spindle is not a big deal. That's what I did

Also there will be little to no room for the press for the lowers with the spindle hanging there. It's much easier to do it with spindle off

And yes that is a 1" thick sway bar end link.

You will probably need a pickle fork to separate the lower ball joint. Uppers are bit easier. Good blow with a 3# hammer to the spindle and should separate

It is much easier to do if you take the control arm off. Just did my ball joints last weekend. We used that tool in the picture above, only to get the old ones out. It was a piece of crap to use to get the new ones in, it kept moving and pushing the ball joint the wrong way. It is much much easier to do it out from under the truck. Its only two bolts to get teh control arm out...

I pulled mine off. Also after having issues on the truck. Put in my vice in shop and impact gun. It's done in no time flat.
