* Aluminum knucks were first introduced in 08 for hybrid vehicles with electric power steering. GM carried them over to 15-20 or Gen 4 full size SUV.

* Alum knucks, UCA & LCA are a 07-14 / Gen 3 thing. GM pretty much concealed their use after they launched the XFE (alum lightweight option) in 08/09 to compete with Ford’s all aluminum trucks.

Best to shop for all your aluminum front suspension parts referencing an 09 Tahoe with the 6.2L option. That specs out all aluminum UCA, LCA and knucks.

@Foggy I haven’t held the 2015-20 UCA & LCA in my hands to compare to the 07-14 parts yet. In all likelihood they are identical to the 15-20 parts but, like I said, I need to verify.

As stated, for now, stick with 07-14 gen parts to be 100% sure or purchase the 15-20 parts that are known returnable to verify for me.
