Omg that looks so clean!!!!

Sorry your ride is bumpy. Maybe Tony can chime in as to why?? Our ride is damn near stock.

As far as the steering, sounds like it needs the alignment and that should solve your "tracking" issues.

For what it's worth, we drove our Burban through DC with no issues dropped on the 24s.

No rubbing issues ScSS?

Btw, we discovered that the HyHoes don't have autoride, so maybe that's why the ride is so bad.

I don't know what to do, but if there's no easy fix to the ride and the rub, it'll have to come off no matter how good she looks. :(

I don't want to speak for Tony about the ride, but if you didn't replace the shocks, that could be your problem.

As far as rubbing goes, we might have different offsets. We have zero rubbing at any point with 295/35/24 tires. We did with 305/35/24 tho, but it was minor.

Hang in there, we'll get you situated. :)

Next thing you should do is trim the exhaust pipe up so that it doesn't stick out so far. It's lookin' really good, Soulsea!

1. Probably because of not being aligned the steering has gone to shit. Every anomaly on the road is pulling the car.

2. There's no way to describe the ride as anything other than donkey. Perhaps my expectations were unrealistic, perhaps it's not a good idea to have these drops on city roads, whatever the case I drove 3 miles and my kidneys are already sore.

3. I have rub in the rear part of the front arches at half lock and sometimes in reverse.

4. The pic above doesn't do the look justice because dropped as she is, she looks absolutely stunning!!!

So I don't know what to do. I'm not going to start cutting up trim to relieve rubbing because I want to be able to sell this truck at some point down the line and I'll have to put it back to stock. And I don't know what to do about the ride situation. But I love the way she is sitting.

Truth is I am more depressed than happy as it seems this kit will have to be taken off so as to save my truck and my back. :(

Main point: Your Tahoe looks way better!!!:party33:

1. Don't wait much longer to get an alignment unless you want to end up buying new tires. After a spindle install the alignment is always nasty and causes the car to pull. After you get one it will be back to stock. That pull causes excessive scuffed treadwear, which = not good.

2. I can't imagine the ride being bad as long as you have a spindle drop and shock xtenders. Could be tied back to the alignment maybe.

3. You should be rubbig there with a 2" drop on a Hybrid, which is slighly lower than a stock Tahoe. Just trim the wheel liner area where you see the scuff marks on it caused by the tire rubbing on it.

4. I know it looks even better in person so don't take it off because its rubbing the wheel liner, just trim the area its rubbing on. It won't require much trimming in a way that would effect the car sale down the road. With all I have trimmed (have just about no front wheel liners) I bet nobody would care when it comes to selling it. Look at my sig, if its not rubbing its not big enough, or low enough. :D

Hi Neo and thanks,

Quick Q ... when you guys say 'trim' do you mean actually cut off part of the liner or do you mean sand it down till it doesn't rub any more?

Oh and about the ride quality ... the best I can describe it is that it reminds me of the 88 Wrangler I drove in college. I had a key fall off my keychain in the ignition whilst driving back from the shop today ... granted the keychain ring was loose but still. :(

something certainly isn't right... get it aligned and go from there. Make sure you take it to a reputable alignment shop, not just a regular shop that does standard alignments. The vehicle is now lowered and needs to be aligned at a shop that knows WTF they are doing...

The way the truck rides definetly sounds way off.

I'll take better pics a little later on level ground and when the sun comes out.

Now, I need to express a couple of thoughts on this because I don't remember the last time I was this happy and depressed at the same time ... keep in mind I haven't done the alignment yet.

1) if the truck is not aligned it will drive like crap

2) i just want to be sure you didnt have autoride on the truck. You thought you did shop said it didnt so not sure on that one

3) like people have done before on teh bigger wheels trim rear plastic wells there is no problem

4) is the back bottoming out? did they put the shock extenders in? Did they cut teh bumpstops down?

There are a few things we need to go over. the 5305 are great springs only other thing there is to do is get new rear shocks but i really want to make sure if your truck has or doesnt have autoride.

We just need to over a few things and there is a 1 inch spacer to put in the rear also which will bring it up one inch. before you get all depressed relax..... we can get you rolling fine again.

Looks dope man:Handshake:... That sucks that your having those troubles. I couldnt imagine the ride being that horrible, especially after all the rave reviews posted by Tony and others with lowered Tahoe's. Def get your alignment and report back. Im really diggin the way it came out. I think im going to go with a 3/4 though. The front sits a lil too high for me... Snowplow here we come:hands:
