so my rear sits up high as expected but I can not stand leveling kits. they all look horrible driving around higher than the rear as soon as you give it a little throttle. I call them
a s s draggers. tx is full of them.

plus it's a dialy driven hybrid, zero need to be higher over all. truck is z95 and air bags. what's the best way to lower it about 1/2-1 in? the air pressure in the bags is already at 21-22psi. if I hit vent on the scanner it doesn't really drop much if any. so would adjusting the rods really do anything?

Adjusting the rods might be a good place to start since you’re talking about such a small amount. They make 2” drop springs so you could also go that route.

I'll have to check into springs, normally lowering springs are stiffer and I don't need it to ride worse

I'd either get adjustable rods and play with that, or maybe play around with doing the ALC relearn with weight in the back so it thinks it's at empty ride height

I've messed with it a little bit, it doesn't seem to do anything. I hit vent on the bags, left it for a good 30mins, got down to about 10psi and did the Learn rear quick before it pumpped up. but it went right back to 21-22psi like it's a default setting.

I figured loading it would and doing it would make it worse, but maybe not. I should try.

Doing it like you did won't effect anything. When doing the relearn it will release the vent at the start before getting a reading of all 4 sensors so it settles to a static height and it won't go all the way to zero psi. I'd try it with some weight in it. Doesn't cost anything.

I can try that and see what it does.

I honestly am not sure these Cals do anything lol. it takes like 3 secs at the most. to the point I've wondered if it even worked

Interesting. When I've done mine it takes a couple minutes. Usually have a rather full tank of gas and have drivers window rolled down with the Tech2 out the window and stand along side of it, so my weight doesn't effect calibration

PPV coil springs drop the Tahoe about 1”.

Mine are about to be for sale, since I’m going lower.
