LQ9 Motor for my Hoe

get that ish out of there, and resell it. I did the same swap, and its a beast. Get it tuned asap.

Don't think that would be an LQ9 .. would it?

That is NOT a lq9, but a lq4. Its hard to tell a lq9 unless you pulled the motor out of the vehicle youself, or pull the heads, and look at the difference in the pistons. the Lq9 has flat-top pistons and require 93 octane. Also LQ9s never had that particular engine cover. The 1 belongs to a lq4. The LQ9 had the 3 piece cadillac cover saying cadillac engineering powered, or they had the vortec max engine cover.

To the OP, thats all you would have to do is drop it in, and get a pcm tune to optimize the performance. LQ4 vs LQ9 is huge on the top end. I just got back from a trip out of state, where I ran a Denali (LQ4) and I killed him badly uptop. I played with him for about 10 miles.

So your saying the LQ4 is a better motor than the LQ9? and it's a straight drop min and tune?
