So your saying the LQ4 is a better motor than the LQ9? and it's a straight drop min and tune?

Im saying that all 6.0s are not created equally. The lq9 is by far a better engine than the lq4. The ls2 would be a better motor than the lq9 as well. :)

I thought I was clear, when I said I raced a Denali and he lost to me big time.

Sorry I read your post differently. My bad! OK so LQ9 is where I want to be then.

Cheers

This may sound crazy JD but if your 5.3 has lower miles stick a blower on it for now then when the time comes throw in a 6.0 with lowered compression and you'll have a real beast

I have 87K on my 5.3 and really want to boost performance. Even with the BB tune, CAI and Magnaflow I feel the truck is sluggish.

I'm open to suggestions

5.3 is a stout engine, you can throw a blower or a front mount turbo kit on that ***** and run as much power as the trans will hold and then some, or spray a 150 shot with a window switch and supporting mods. You can run some serious power with only a transgo shift kit and corvette servo for transmission modifications.

LQ9 is not really 'better' than a LQ4, just the LQ9 has more compression. The LQ4 is a great candidate for a blower motor.

sure...blowers are endless. If you want one under the hood, get with Justin and Jenna, look at the Magnacharger.
