Just curious... I think the LS is just the 4Dr model. Am I right? I have been trying to read up on my Tahoe...

I did read something where the LS is not supposed to have leather seats... but Mine does. Pretty sure mine is an LS. I took the tags off a long time ago... Will this (LS) be display anywhere else?

LS is base model. You can add options to an LS if you don't want to pay for the LT.

To go into further detail all a LS and LT or in later years LTZ (NNBS models) is chevys Trim levels from Base to Fully loaded in that order While GMC uses SLE and SLT in their Trim levels .

Typically LS models Are base or "economy" models but most came with additions like Leather seats towing packages and such.

If you want to know the Model of your vehicle the general reference code is GMT400 as a broad area , and most commonly used as a general reference when discussing what year GM full size you have

To be specific however these change with the name and year of the vehicle ,

for instance
your vehicle is a GMT420 chevy tahoe 1995-2000

mine for example is GMT430 GMC yukon 1995 -2000

I saw a strange optioned tahoe at a local dealer. Was a 98 or 99 and was burgandy on burgandy. LS trim with a leather front bench seat / the folding console. Not too sure on the technical term on that seating arrangement.

98-99 with a red interior? Never seen that before.

because it is not a popular color choice. and the leather seats could have been installed after the build by someone else. even in the order book it is clear that the ls has non leather and lt had leather and the option for a individual leather upgrade on a ls was not listed as available.
