Anyone use this instead of their standard oil drain plug? I believe I’m going to install this next time I change the oil.

I have a fumoto valve. I like it a lot. However, I'm mildly concerned about misc junk that is stuck because of the lip due to the plug not being removed in full. I'll probably remove it entirely every 4 or 5 changes.

It's a breeze, takes a little longer because the flow isnt as fast, but it's completely clean because i just use the hose straight into a discharge jug. It's worth the 21 bucks to me.

Great to hear it’s clean! Good idea about taking it off every so often as well.

I have a Fumoto drain valve on the Detroit Diesel engine in my motorhome. Love it.

Great idea. Now if I could just do something to avoid the mess of the filter change. :)

Just put your pan under the filter and punch a nail into it and let it drain. No mess. They used to make this cool little pour spout that did the same thing but a nail is cheaper.
