Should my MAF have a screen in it? Was looking today and there is no screen in the housing.

the screen is optional, if it wasn't visibly cut out then it probably didn't have one, they changed completely at some point mine just sticks in a hole in the intake tube.

No screen on mine, 2013 (originally came with LMG 5.3)....116k trouble free miles and counting
