The bigger the muffler body, the quieter the sound.

I've been thinking about Magnaflow 12259, which is the 18" body and just a bit quieter, but essentially no drone even without the resonator.

The drone doesn’t really bother me it’s more so my wife. If she complains about it more I’ll be putting a magnaflow resonator in line with the exhaust

It’s not bad. I notice it the most on the highway above 65mph and in 4cyl mode

Let us know if the "drone" goes away when not in 4 cyl mod at highway speeds (select M5 on transmission to lock out AFM). Thanks.

Yes the drone is almost non existent In v8 mode on the highway

You can definitely hear it when city driving on the throttle but once you get to speed and are just cruising you can’t even hear the exhaust

Sounds like you need to delete AFM, not add a resonator.
