the actual tube on new valley cover where you put the sensor is shorter about 1/2" which makes it impossible to screw it in with filter in place
Strange... I used an ICT Billet cover on mine. I suppose it's no big deal, it's not filtering your main oil. Worst case you get something small in there that throws of oil readings down the road. Shouldn't be a problem

I'm still using a filter, same part as the one from my Gen IV L92 6.2L... That was VVT but not DOD/AFM. I'm now using an iron block, LQ9 which is a Gen III block and still uses same sensor/screen.

Thats interesting....Im just curious, but any chance you know the part number of the valley cover? Im looking at the Valley Cover from my LS3 Crate motor (part 12599296) and the Valley Cover from my L96 which was pulled from a wrecked 2015 2500 Silverado (part 12598833) and neither Valley Cover uses that screen...I would say it could be VVT related since the LS3 doesn't have VVT but the L96 did have VVT, maybe GM discontinued the use of the screen in the later Gen IV motors?

@Chrismnj I wouldn't worry too much about it, I have 10K+ miles on my LS3 without the screen and ran the L96 12k miles no screen and had/have 0 issues

I don't think the screen is needed personally... Maybe I'm wrong and I left it out, I will have to ask my friend, I have a head injury and can't remember crap lol.

Looks like its all ready to hang the charger on. Are you back to the same dyno place as before for a tune?

I bought the charger along with autocal from BB, will see how their tune performs, seems like they have good reputation on here

It will be a safe tune, but you can probably get more from an actual dyno tune without being on the ragged edge. I found my tune to be slightlly rich after installing my wideband and @Rocketman was also about 1 point rich with the 2300 maggie. Definitely send them a log after you get everything up and running. It will be interesting to see how your A/F ratios look on the dyno.
