Main bearing failure on 6.2L for me ugh

Have had my 2023 Yukon Denali for 9 months 20,000km and broke down on side of road no check engine lights nothing. Towed to dealer and informed today main bearing on 6.2L went. Dealer says 6months for a new engine. WOW I wish someone would steal it. Wish Canada had some sort of lemon law in effect I would love to ditch this for another specially not even a year old

Don't know what to say... our 2022 Denali is up to 17k miles and I keep my fingers crossed that "it won't happen to me". You will get good advice here for this BAD situation. I live in Florida and can't help but wonder if the more extreme heat/cold cycles up North are an issue? Even down here I am careful to let my engine warm up (it doesn't take long) before driving. Let us know how this turns out. Sorry, but thank you for reporting.

I think GM has a process the dealer can use to attempt to expedite parts when you are in a no drive situation. See if your dealer can engate this.

What do you expect from GM? My 2018 Tahoe Premier with a 6.2 purchased new, had the A/C condenser fail, $900.00, both front struts replaced, $1450,00, 10 speed transmission replaced, $5000.00. All at my expense. All with under 70,000 miles. I have never had a transmission blow in my 60 years of driving. That is over $7,000 in repairs. My former chevy, 07 Avalanche, with a POS 4/8 V8 used a quart of oil every 1000 miles, GM said that was within acceptable limits, can you believe that !! A quart every 1000 miles is OK??. Why I bought another GM is beyond me. I loved the Avalanche and I love the Tahoe but I've had it. My next truck will be a Toyota. By than China will probably put all the other companies out of business including Toyota. Maybe by then Harbor Freight will have a car made in Ukraine. I can't wait.
