Manifold gasket questions

Well I have been reading about the manifold gaskets being a problem on here. And figured out that I have to actually put a new manifold in cause mine has a small split in it. I've already replaced my spider injectors and was wondering if there was any other things I can do while I'm tearing apart the top end of the motor to enhance it?

clean any solid debris for underneath. not much else unless you want to mod somethings.

Depending on cost to performance gains I would consider modding. Haven't really dug into the top end or really looked at doing much to my top end, but if I'm ripping it apart why not upgrade or mod a few things
