map update worth it?

I'm afraid that $100 for an update to bring my 07 tahoe's navi up to the latest version won't be worth the cost. I'd love to know what others that are using the most current version think of it. Again, I'm referring to the latest version for the 07 models.

I bought the 1 year old disc (2012) for my 07 to save 100$ and still worth it. I don't really use the nav for directions but more as an overview of the streets where I am. I think it is worth it. Still good for directions if you take the time to stop and enter them.

I have used it a few times, but using my iPhone for directions on the fly is easier since I can dictate the desired address. I wish there was an easy way to send them to the navi unit though. The screen on the phone is kinda small and cops are always looking for someone with their phone in their hand around here.
