Has anyone on this site utilized the BB harness with their Mark VIII fan?

What modifications did you have to make to plug the system together?

THanks!

Just grab a flexlite computer and be done..

dual_pin_harness.jpg

The two connectors with orange bands I believe are for the plug-n-play LS1 fan...i have a Mark VIII so i won't be using them. Unless they have some other use?

Green = AC Tap
Blue = (not sure...it's a thin metal pin)
Terminal ends = positive and negative terminals

I'm pretty sure i can figure out who to wire it hot and ground it :)

My question(s):
I'm not sure what to do with the blue pin...does it go into the PCM? Where?

Where should i splice in the green AC wire?

This is going to be a stupid question, but I have two negative terminals and one positive. What is the reason for that?

Im still curious to why you bought that harness... when i pull it up online its not saying anything about your vehicle year. 99 was the year they switched to the nbs silverados and seirras, not Tahoes and yukons. hence engines and pcms are different.

Im pretty sure that harness will do nothing for you.

We sell electrical harnesses and alternator overdrive pulleys for 99-06 trucks and SUVs that allow you to control a set of electric cooling fans via the PCM. By removing the clutch-driven fan, you're able to free up some horsepower and improve the engine's efficiency by only running the fans when necessary.

I think you need to talk to jenna or Justin about this. Id grab one of those Flexalite controllers in the meantime, those are simply, easy and badass :)

Justin told me you can modify it to fit my OBS Vortec...at least one person on this forum completed the mod...

Now i'm just trying to find that person :)

I think if i can figure what to do with the blue wire (thin metal pin at the end), I can figure this out. I'm assuming this pin is inserted somewhere in/near the computer.
