Max 4lo speed

What's the fastest safe speed to use in 4 lo? I'm only driving around town, nothing more than 40mph. Truck is stuck in 4 lo, but getting a new tcase probably next week. Couldn't find anything in the manual about it.

Any help is appreciated.

I can't tell you for sure as I'm in an AWD now so no 4-Lo.

When I did have a GM 4WD SUV though I don't remember getting it much above 20 mph before I was up around 4000 RPM in OD. The gear reduction is pretty substantial.

Don't drive that sucker on pavement in 4low... just bad all around. Mine got stuck in 4 hi and I drove it once and fixed it... however I think it's around 20mph max in 4low...

Hopefully I can have a mechanic where I work pull the actuator off and manually put it into 2hi.
