Any issues with a level kit on the max tow package with rear auto leveling suspension? I know you can adjust the arm length for the rear lift, but is that actually necessary? Or can I just put a level kit and be fine?

You really need to adjust them.

If you don’t adjust the arms on the front and lift the front to level, it will think it needs to air up the rear to get it back to level. If you drop the rear and don’t adjust the arms on the rear, it will air it up so it is back to where the system thinks is level.

Just to clarify, this isn’t the Z55 Auto ride suspension, it’s the rear air suspension that comes with the max tow package.

Where are the arms on the front located?

My mistake. I didn’t notice this was the K2XX section. I was think of the NNBS vintage. That being said, the Auto Ride and Auto Level control are two different systems on the NNBS. Are the newer vehicles are the same. Does the air suspension level the vehicle with the max tow option?

No worries.
Yes, so the suspension comes specifically with the Max tow package
Auto ride is Z55 RPO code
The only RPO codes I see on my build sheet mentioning suspension are

NHT MAX TRAILERING PACKAGE: * REAR AXLE, 3.42 RATIO * TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER * TRANSFER CASE 2-SPEED * SUSPENSION PACKAGE

Z85 SUSPENSION PACKAGE

I didn't need to do anything with the rears on mine. If you level the front only, I have not seen or heard of any issues.

If you are lifting the front and the back, I believe you will need to mess with the rear load leveling in the max tow package setup.

All will be fine. Had a leveling spacer setup with my wifes denali and did nothing with the rear at all. It worked just fine. Have the fox struts up front now with the magnaride delete, and again the rear works just fine in stock form.

I believe the rear air leveling system only functions from the rear sensors...nothing to do with the front.

Any reason why the Bilstein 5100 ride height adjustable shocks say they are not compatible with the Z85 suspension?
