None of the above. It's an independent rear suspension so it uses a different differential than past generations or the pickups. That said, I note that the 5.3 uses a different GM part number for the rear diff than the 6.2 and 3.0 do.

I understand that the 2021+ GM SUVs have an independent rear suspension, however, it still uses a rear differential and there must be a ring gear diameter measurement for that rear differential regardless of whether it is IRS or live axle.

Thanks for the input everyone I think im going to be patient (as hard as that is) and wait for my order to get picked up. My 2007 trailblazer that the Tahoe will be replacing is still going strong so no immediate need to jump on this one for us. Thanks again to everyone who replied.

It also makes the decision easier now that the dealer sent over the price quote which included a $3k “market adjustment” which wasn’t listed on their website. While it’s *only* 3k it just rubs me the wrong way
While I agree with the false advertising part of this, which would definitely make me mad, $3k is nothing. In the Chicagoland area, we are $8-12k over sticker…although the new gen is amazing, I opted out and bought a used 2017 fully loaded z71 the way I wanted it with low miles and less than half the price. I’ll get the current gen off lease in a few years or when this market tanks.

No clue, but it's the only item like that on gmpartsgiant for a 2021 Tahoe.

I'm sorry - I misunderstood both the likely reason for your request and your knowledge of these trucks. Like @Fless, I've come across several sources for the parts, but none provide a definitive diameter for the ring gear. Some, like this one, list both 9.5" and 9.75" in the description for the same part. When I drill into the parts though, I see three different part numbers available for the ring and pinion portion of the kit. One for 6.2L + 3.0L, a second for the 5.3L - both listed as being for mechanical limited slip, and a third for those that have the electronic limited slip. So my guess is that the size of the ring gear varies by engine, with the 9.75" being for the 6.2 and 3.0, and the 9.5" being for the 5.3 trucks.

Actually, I think there are two P/N, one for the Mechanical Limited Slip Rear Diff, and one for the Electronic Limited Slip...independent of engine.

Short article - but this is a press-release from the manufacturer (AAM) of the rear axle for the T1 platform and it lists both the 9.5" and 9.76" ring gear sizes.
