I am having a few mechanical issues. Wondering if you guys could help me out
Its a 1998 2dr 4wd tahoe 5.7 V8 vortec
Motor replaces 3 years ago less than 20K miles on it
1) did a tune up last week after the truck was running like crap. truck sat in front of my house for over a year and was ran 2 days a week for alternate side of the street parking. Last plug on Drivers side was packed with carbon. changed all plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. 2 weeks now starting to get a little build up. Valve Problem ?? anyone with ideas
2) bought the truck used in 2002 i have now had 3 fuel pumps. When the truck sits for over an hour i have to turn the key on and off and id say re-prime the fuel line before it will start. otherwise it just cranks and wont start. Its like there is a loss of fuel pressure. is it the pump again ?
3) new battery 800 cranking amps 1000 cold. checked all wires and connections all seem ok volts run at about 13-14 when driving but at times when i go to start the truck it acts like a totally dead battery where it barely cranks then starts right up right when u expect the battery to crap out
on a note for #3 starter and fly wheel replaced 6 months ago
just curious if any of you have had similar problems
