Dealer called me today and said it's most likely waiting on a part needed for one of the "safety features". There was no confidence behind that statement, so take it fwiw.

@VMD2022 , I saw on the other forum you got good news? When you pick up your truck, could I ask you to see if u can find out anything that would be pertinent for us? Reasons for the wait and how it got picked to move? Thanks in advance

Has your dealer/Exec Resolution person told you your vehicle is still in Midlothian? Or, have you checked with your dealer to see if they can see anything now in VinView?

@kate_t . Still no vinview.

I did speak to my my executive resolution person today: It was missing parts at one point… they were installed at an unknown date, it needs to receive a final inpection at midlothian before moving to rail yard. She thinks the window sticker wont appear until inspection. She doesnt know why vin view is off, could be it has been parked too long. She thinks they have enough trucks and trains, but that the quality inspection people are at factory and that they cant spare many for the yards. A lot of guesses… but shes doing her best and I appreciated the educated guesses as she was honnest. She should follow up with me in a week.

it makes sense if they are waiting for QC checks before shipping them. there is probably a valid point to not pull too many qc folks from the plant to go check the ones at Midlothian. I could see that during their Model Year changeover that those folks would all be down at the yard checking the 22s to get them out of there. I know i would be quite upset if i had a 22 sitting there and folks started getting 23s before mine.

Anyone have any updates recently? This is week 6 of my Denali sitting at Midlothian with no good rationale as to why. Starting to look into alternate vehicles...
Did you mean in transit units or something else? For the competition, how long would you, me or anyone else wait to get one? Even assuming the worst case of most of us getting our cars in late August, we would probably be hard pressed to get an order from other manufacturers before that…

I would venture the only similar option with some inventory would be the Grand Wagoneer? I checked them last week. Not bad, but I don’t trust the resale value of the short wheelbase with a large Hemi considering the long wheelbase with the Hurricane engine is coming out.

That’s the problem, isn’t it? We have very little leverage or options…

Sure, it makes sense, but the rep guessed all this from my status code. It could also be way off. And even with one QC guy there... we should be seeing more movement than we are.

Well I started looking at other dealers for what they have available/in the pipeline to be built here soon. A Cadillac dealer near me has 2 Escalades with TPW's of next week that aren't spoken for, so I was considering that. The reason being that some vehicles built recently seem to be getting delivered quickly and bypassing Mid altogether. Not sure if that really would be the case in getting one that hasn't been built yet sooner than my XL Denali that has been sitting at Mid for 6+ weeks now... but something I was considering. Except the markup on the Escalade is $8K more than the markup on the Denali...
