No I don’t think it’s a factor I just mean there are people paying over MSRP so the dealer is missing out on revenue.I using friends and family as well. Personally don’t think that is a player in this, but it is a coincidence.

I’m not sure about that; some peoples vehicles have been invoiced and they have window stickers. Mine has neither. Linton over on GM Insider has me at 3800 and GMC and Dealership says 4300 and I know of 2 others in the same boat; one who has been waiting for his truck since March…Kate, at this point I feel like our vehicle are complete and ready to be shipped- not waiting on chips. I think our vehicles were off loaded to the MID lot waiting on shipping and are now buried, so ours were parked in the back and they can’t dig them out until the newer vehicles are shipped. But newer vehicles will continue to be put in front of the older vehicles as shipments leave. They are not operating FIFO. We are in a bad cycle until there are enough transport vehicles to get us out of the lot.
Just to check this theory out I have been looking at the trip numbers of the vehicles brought off the line, this lists all the vehicles on the same transport to MID lot. Mine had 6 move to the lot on the same truck. No movement on the older ones, but newer ones have some movement.
Frustrating for sure.
Why would you think this would be unpopular? Good for you, enjoy your car!I understand it’s an unpopular outcome, especially in this thread but my unit got delivered to the dealer this week. Nobody I have talked to has any explanation for why it got there so fast. I even talked to people at the dealership. They were complaining to regional people at GM about other units when mine and another unit came in. They were even surprised to find out that 5 or 6 units came in on a transporter from Texas and not rail. I feel so bad for all of you that have been waiting so long.
I agree with you… and if it is just a shipping issue… God I would hate knowing I am the victim of people too lazy or incompetent to bother to pick trucks from the back of the lot first or to think ahead and leave space for transports to manoeuvre there.I’m not sure about that; some peoples vehicles have been invoiced and they have window stickers. In the GRAND scheme of things, it’s a car, I’m not waiting for a life-saving organ, so surely I have that perspective but it IS frustrating to have no answers.

If your hunch is right and the issue is just shipping… check the Google satellite images of the lot again (I assume you did so more than once, as we all did hehe). They are recent (2022): unless they significantly changed the way they park cars since they were taken, there is no such thing as being “buried”. If newer trucks leave for the trains first, it’s really because GM employees /contractors at several levels cannot be bothered to get the older ones first. Proof of that also would be they can locate and extract the ones due for local delivery… it’s unlikely they had been segregated off the bat.our vehicles were off loaded to the MID lot waiting on shipping and are now buried, so ours were parked in the back and they can’t dig them out until the newer vehicles are shipped.
