I have been reading all this for a long time. I am in the same boat as everyone else here. Ordered 2022 Tahoe RST with luxury group, sunroof, soild black wheels, 2nd row bucket seats. Ordered end of Feb and was picked up in April and produced 5/12. Went to 4300 status on 5/13 sitting in midlothian. Dealer said they were waiting on ETA. Contacted Exec team and they told me waiting on shipping. Dealer got back to me 2 weeks ago and said they were finally told it was in missing parts status. Exec sent one final e-mail which you can read in the attached picture basically telling me to go buy something else or wait forever. I have now forwarded that to Mary Barra and also tweeted it at GM, Chevy, and Mary Barra. This is all so frustrating. Asked the dealer about ordering a 23 and they advised against it since the luxury group is on full constraint right now. They have an identical 2022 RST slated for production this week and said which ever comes in first I will get. Very frustrating for everyone. See the attached screen shot of the e-mail I got and see what you think.

Want to start off by saying I hope every one of us receives our vehicles asap! This forum helps me with the sleepless nights and GM testing my patience. Just out of curiosity, what is the significance of an invoice sheet. For those who have that, does that mean your vehicle is about to be shipped?

So I think once the window sticker is generated, the invoice is also generated. Then I believe it’s really FULLY built and is ready for transport.

Update on my experience

Built April 13th
Bayed at Midlothian April 14th
June 24th, shipped back to Arlington

So, to update on my previous optimistic post, my vehicle is still in Arlington as of today waiting on parts.

It makes zero sense to ship it back to Arlington just to sit. I would have thought it would have had the parts installed by now, and moved to make room for others. One has to wonder what they are thinking....

I'm wondering if they are staging our trucks to be retrofitted at the plant during the shut down for model year changeover. I can see it taking a while to move a bunch of trucks back to Arlington, so maybe they are actually thinking ahead?

I was thinking they would be pumping them in and out, but this also makes a tone of sense.

Change over must be soon? I placed a new order for a 23 today. Let's see what comes first. Hopefully the 23 lol

Interesting I also ordered an RST with the luxury package (built 5/23) and at 4300. I have been keeping track of RST orders that come up on the Chevy inventory and inquire about the build date.

If your car happened to be on the assembly line and parts were available you lucked out. It seems April was a horrible month for car builds based on people's status.

Seems most cars were sent to the graveyard with the hopes that some spare parts become available. You would think older orders sitting out there would go out first but that would make sense. The older your order it seems the further back you are in the graveyard lot. I am waiting to see 2023 orders in transit so I can really get pissed.

Look at all these orders built at the end of June and already in transit to my area.

Well my attempt to order a 23 was not successful, and got rejected. Seems like the luxury package is on constraint for the next 4 weeks plus.

I hope this means they are reserving these MPs for us whom are waiting.

I hope so. I have thought about trying to put in an order somewhere for a 2023 but I think will just bite the bullet and stay with my build. I have a set of black wheels sitting at the ordering dealership to swap out the RST wheels, for my birthday (in June) folks gave me accessories that look good in boxes in my garage. I wanted to take advantage of the used car market and flip my current car to max out its value asap but I am glad I opted to hold off until I have the car in hand.
