I’ve come to fine out that GM chat isn’t very trustworthy at all. For that matter the dealer may not be either. I try not bother the dealer as much but I don’t care harassing the people on the chat. I’ve caught the GM chat actually telling me that my event code actually “backed” up an event or two which didn’t make any sense. That made me lose most faith in them. I also do believe there are MULTIPLE FACTORS that go into all aspects of the ordering and shipping processes that are behind the scenes to most of us. I believe that most of the delays the you all (probably myself included since my unit is supposed to be built next week) is attributed to 2 things. First being the endless parts shortages but still trying to keep the assembly line running. And secondly to the shortage of transportation and logistics workers both rail and road.

Ugh this is so frustrating. You’d think the “event code” would align with where the vehicle actually is, it would be really nice. I still don’t have a vehicle window sticker, which means no invoice yet…which means it cannot be a status 4300

Right?? I agree. Not being able to pull up a window sticker doesn't seem like a good sign.

Heard from my dealer last night. He said he contacted GM direct and they said there were a number of trucks that were produced in the last few weeks but are "built-shy" meaning they still needed some chips. I guess they didn't have enough so some went to Midlothian to be held until chips became available. He said it sounds like they should start shipping them again next week so I assume that means some of these chip hold trucks got their chips.
Yeah, figured as much. From what I see it seems it started around my build week - March 23rd build here… If they do get the parts…I hope its LIFO, I read horror stories of first cars going to storage being finished last because they coulnd get to them.

Same. I read on the Cadillac forums that some folks who had their Escalade's go to Midlothian sat there for upwards of 5 months, almost like the vehicle was completely forgotten about. I'm hopeful they've gotten this figured out by now though with these built-shy trucks.

My dealer just contacted me & said they got notification that mine just left Midlothian and is on a rail car to Dallas. Then to me. If that’s true, idk

Have you heard anything new from your dealer since they said it was going to be loaded on the rail car? Jack Cooper still shows Midlothian, but we all know that could very well be inaccurate.

I think I’ve decided that if I don’t get my car by June 1st I’m going to tell the dealership I’m out. I love the car, but so many issues so far…when I don’t even have it? Maybe it’s the universe telling me I shouldn’t get the Yukon.

That seems fair in terms of timing. If it is confirmed built and not here by the end of this month, I'd feel the same.

Just a thought, there was a rash of issues reported on the forum here w/ the headlight ambient light sensor, most were produced late March/Early April. Perhaps GM identified a quality issue and is holding vehicles until they can get replacement ambient light sensors??

Okay, I may be onto something. With the exception of my vehicle, look at the common denominator for all of the vehicles I've found using Jack Cooper, sitting at the Midlothian lot.

There are ASN dates of 03/31, 04/01 and 04/08 that I'm seeing that appear to be really in-transit, unlike ours just sitting here...there has to be something with these dates...my TPW week was originally 04/04 but it was moved up to 03/28...

Could you check my VIN please?

Same here. Truck delivered to Midlothian Storage on 4/13. No window sticker or movement.
My SLT was completed first week of April. Sitting at Midlothian with a 4300 status. Dealer states it is not missing parts. It is a local delivery and dealer was surprised that it went to Midlothian, since that is their national distribution center. Reportedly, as of a week ago there are thousands sitting at the massive Midlothian facility.

Only conclusion that I have come to is that GM removed the constraint on hented and ventilated seat chips a couple of weeks ago and the Yukons were sent to Midlothian for those chips to be installed prior to delivery.
