I was weary too about the 6.0 + AWD before I bought it..... I bought My 2005 Denali when it just hit 50,000 miles. I was originally looking for an older, 2002-ish Tahoe 4x4 LT Black like my old one for MONTHS, but they were all over 100,00 miles and ragged out.

The reason I went with the Denali was because it was one owner, and every single service record and oil change every 3500 miles since day one, was on Carfax from the Chevy Dealership. I must have looked at 20 Tahoes and never once saw that much history on a carfax. Plus the inside was mint, even the drivers seat was completely flawless.

so far I have replaced the Hydroboost Brake booster, other than that nothing else.

I had 224,000 miles on my 2001 Tahoe when I sold it and the only big repairs over the 8 years were a transmission, & rear main seal.

I hope the Denali is as reliable for the years to come....

ps - I dont know if it will make a big deal over the life of the truck but using Non-E Premium Gas & Mobile-1 Syn. Oil

My Tahoe had 293000 when the motor started making noises but I think it was someone's company car beater before I got it that wasn't kept up on maintenance and the dealer just put heavy weight oil in it to keep it quiet. The interior was pretty clean other than the carpet, paint is pretty good for original paint. I had the engine replaced for about 2000bucks and now have 295500 on it and drive it everyday and plan to drive it to ND very soon. The vortec engines are pretty reliable just keep up on the maintenance and it should treat you right I love mine and definitely don't plan on getting rid of it.

I have an 04 with 96K only thing I ve done was change the water pump. Coworker has an 06 Escalade with 167k and still running strong. I'm pretty confident the truck can go 200k miles easy.

I just bought a 2004 XL Denali in January it just went over 219,000. It was a one owner and when I brought it to the shop for an oil change and look over, there were no big concerns. When it's really cold the belt squeals and the check engine light light has come on and gone off a couple times, but that's it. Previous owner said it came on before for the mass air flow sensor.

I have just a tick under 140k, 6.0 runs perfect, When removed, the OEM trans still shifted perfect without any issues. I have replaced normal wear items on the engine, WP, belts, idler pulleys, plugs, wires. After I put a tune on it, my avg MPG is up .5 to an even 12mpg. my highway mileage is around 17-19mpg.

225k+ here and so far just an alternator, fuel pump, and FPR outside of regular maintenance..
I'm the second owner, and it was dealer maintained by the first owner.
Excellent oil pressure, doesn't burn oil, and excellent power.

Absolutely everything works perfectly right down to the autoride.

I have every intention of running this to 300k before i pull the motor and grow it to a 408.
