Just saw this today at the store for the first time. Is it new? I can't find specific info (admittedly haven't dug further than the "product sheet"). Already have enough on hand for this change, but maybe I will try it next time and see what the Blackstone report says. @swathdiver has me considering the new Delco and/or Rotella gas truck as well. Just curious how the M1 Truck/SUV may compare to those.

This oil was originally eliminated from consideration because it was not GM Dexos 1 approved. As of late last year it now is for GM Dexos 1 Gen2.

The website specs are different than the specifications included in the August 2019 MSDS. Walmart's photo is of the old, non Dexos oil bottle.

That being said, its viscosity numbers are still lower than the ACDelco and Shell Rotella Gas Truck and note that I'm only examining 5W30.

Looks to be marginally better than plain old Mobil 1 which allowed my motor to rattle a little on start up.

I bought a bunch of the Shell Rotella Gas Truck oil. Looks like the rebate is over now, but before the end of 2019 you could get $10 back per 5qt jug. After the rebate it worked out to like $12 per 5qt jug. I bought 4 for my Tahoe and 4 for my Saturn Vue that is my daily driver. Haven't used any yet.
